A Smarter, More Efficient Path to Your IT Degree

In today’s tech-driven world, the demand for highly skilled IT professionals is growing, and so is the need for academic programs that meet students where they are. That’s why National American University (NAU) is proud to announce the launch of its Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Focused, an innovative, fully online degree designed to be completed in approximately three years for students who maintain full-time enrollment.

What Is the BSIT – Focused?

Unlike more traditional 180-credit bachelor’s programs, NAU’s BSIT – Focused consists of 135 quarter credit hours, allowing eligible students to complete their degree in less time and potentially at a lower overall cost. While the structure is different, the program meets the same high academic standards as NAU’s other degree offerings.

This streamlined program is tailored to support both new and continuing students, particularly those who have already earned an Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology or similar degree. Transfer students may be eligible to apply up to 94.5 quarter credit hours from previously completed coursework at NAU, depending on program alignment and academic performance.

Career-Aligned Specializations

To further support workforce readiness, the BSIT – Focused program offers four optional areas of concentration in the following fields:

  • Cybersecurity
  • Network Administration
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cloud Computing

These tracks provide students with the opportunity to tailor their degree based on personal interests and industry relevance, while still following an accelerated academic timeline.

Who Is This Program For?

The BSIT – Focused degree is an ideal option for:

  • Graduates of NAU’s associate degree in Information Technology
  • Military service members or veterans seeking to advance their IT career opportunities
  • Working professionals or adult learners looking to re-skill or upskill
  • Students seeking a flexible, fully online degree that respects their time and experience

Program Features and Benefits
